Prevention Research Expertise Survey

In 2023, ODP formally retired the Prevention Research Expertise Survey (PRES). Since its launch in 2015, information from this public survey provided NIH scientific review officers with a way to identify individuals with the appropriate methodological and content area expertise to serve as peer reviewers on NIH study sections. The PRES collected self-reported information about experience in multiple areas including study designs, research methods, diseases and conditions, and populations. ODP remains committed to strengthening the rigor, reproducibility, and quality of NIH-supported prevention research by enhancing methods expertise on NIH study sections through training, outreach, and consultation. Please contact ODP at [email protected] for more information.

ODP continues to support several activities and resources related to promoting the use of the best available methods in prevention research such as the Methods: Mind the Gap Webinar Series and the Research Methods Resources website.
