Request for Information: Innovative Approaches To Promote Mental Wellness in Populations That Experience Health Disparities
Are you a health care provider, researcher, or mental health advocate? Do you have experience with preventive intervention strategies that move beyond the traditional approach of providing mental health treatment and that instead address social determinants of health to prevent the development of mental health problems in populations that experience health disparities? If so, NIH wants to hear from you!
As part of the new ADVANCE: Advancing Prevention Research for Health Equity initiative, NIH is seeking information about successful strategies from a variety of contributors, including but not limited to health care providers/organizations, complementary and integrative health clinical institutions, mental health clinics, mental health advocacy organizations, schools/educational institutions, community- and faith-based organizations, state or local governmental organizations, and researchers. Input from community-based service providers and other community-based organizations about promising or successful approaches in their communities is particularly encouraged.
Find more information about potential topics of interest and learn how to submit a response in NIH Guide Notice NOT-OD-23-030.
