Public Affairs Specialist
Jen Rodriguez joined the ODP Communications Team in February 2018. At ODP, Ms. Rodriguez provides communications support for activities that identify prevention research areas for investment or expanded effort by the NIH. She also helps manage the ODP's website, social media outreach, and analytics program.
Before joining ODP, Ms. Rodriguez served as an Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Fellow in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Office of Women’s Health (OWH). At OWH, Ms. Rodriguez drafted and updated health education materials related to safe medication use, caregiving, and HIV. She also assisted with the development of a cross-center health communications study. Prior to her work at FDA, Ms. Rodriguez spent several years at a public relations firm focused on nonprofit and public health communications and advocacy.
Ms. Rodriguez received a Bachelor of Arts (public health, psychology) and a Master of Science in Public Health (health communication and health education) from Johns Hopkins University.
