Public Health Analyst
Usha D. Singh joined the ODP in June 2021. At the ODP, Ms. Singh provides support across several strategic priorities including analysis of the NIH investments in prevention research and the facilitation and promotion of collaborative prevention research projects across the NIH.
Before joining the ODP, Ms. Singh worked for over 19 years as a Senior Study Manager in a consulting company, where she provided a full range of technical, analytical, operational, and project management support on epidemiologic and health related studies for health agencies such as the National Cancer Institute and Food and Drug Administration, as well as nonprofit organizations such as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Her responsibilities included preparing reports, developing study materials such as survey questionnaires and the manual of operations, coordinating data collection and tracking systems, overseeing quality assurance plans, monitoring budget and cost projections, reviewing assembly of analysis datasets, and documenting and supporting analysis activities, all while incorporating innovative solutions and building efficiencies in processes. Since September 2018, she has supported the ODP’s analysis of the NIH prevention research portfolio.
Ms. Singh earned her B.S. in biology and her M.P.H. in health administration from East Tennessee State University.
