Taylor Buffa joined the ODP Communications Team as a Communications Specialist in June 2021. Ms. Buffa provides communications support for several ODP initiatives including efforts to enhance the rigor and reproducibility of NIH-funded prevention research by promoting the use of the best available research methods. She also assists with the management of the ODP website and works to promote ODP events and resources.
Before joining the ODP, Ms. Buffa was an Invention Development and Marketing Intern at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Technology Transfer Center. At the NCI, Ms. Buffa drafted newsletters and social media posts promoting NIH technologies available for licensing and co-development. She supported marketing and communications initiatives to generate awareness about technology transfer. Prior to her work at the NCI, Ms. Buffa worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Ms. Buffa received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a Master of Science degree in biotechnology from Georgetown University.
